COSHH and SHOC Training Course

Course Description

The COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and SHOC (Safe Handling of Chemicals) Training Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to identify, assess, control, and safely manage hazardous substances in the workplace. The course focuses on protecting workers, facilities, and the environment from the risks associated with the use, storage, handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and substances.

• Understand the principles and requirements of COSHH and chemical safety management.
• Identify hazardous substances and chemical-related workplace hazards.
• Interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical labels, and hazard pictograms.

• Conduct COSHH assessments and evaluate chemical risks effectively.
• Apply the hierarchy of controls to manage and reduce exposure risks.
• Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for chemical handling activities.
