Stop Work Authority

This Stop Work Authority QHSE course empowers employees at all levels to recognize unsafe conditions, behaviors, and imminent-risk situations, and to confidently exercise their authority to pause or stop work without fear of reprisal. Participants will learn the principles and legal foundations of stop work authority, risk recognition and decision-making, effective communication and intervention techniques, reporting and documentation procedures, and the importance of leadership support and a positive safety culture. By the end of the training, delegates will be equipped to act decisively to prevent incidents, protect people and assets, and contribute to a proactive zero-harm workplace.
